Multi Award Winning Oils
As the EVOO competition season draws to an end, DASH Olives is proud to boast of its
medal swag for our 2006 Regional blends. To date we have received a total of 19 medals
consisting of 1 Gold Medal, 8 Silver Medals (including a best of class) and 10 Bronze Medals.

April 2006
Harvest Time!
Its time to put out the nets and start plucking!
Early indications present varied crop expectations across Australia.
WA Update
Harvest is running late for 2006 with harvestors and processors expecting
the season to run into July due to the cool summer experienced
across WA this year resulting in a late ripening of fruit.
Areas from Moore River to Margaret River are also predicting lighter crops
this year due to unseasonal weather at flowering in September / October.
NSW Update
Alternately the family farm in NSW has pulled its harvest dates
forward due to early ripening of fruit with the hot summer just gone.
An increase in cropping from 2005 is expected.
Look out for tasty new oils come July when the
harvest is finished and the last olive squished!

Adding to our Perth Royal Show awards, we have received two awards at the North East Victorian Olive Growers Association awards.

We are extremely excited to have received two awards for our first season of Premium Australian Regional Blends.
DASH Altitude - Gold Award & 1st in Class
Our limited release DASH Altitude Frantoio oil from the Southern Highlands of NSW
(plucked and squished by our very own hands!!)
has won the GOLD Medal and 1st in class award.
Judges comments included:
“A fresh unusual & complex oil with intense malt, aniseed, floral & green tea characters.”
“A balanced palate with warm bitterness & pepper.”
“A powerfully fruit, fresh and complex oil.”
DASH Moorish- Bronze Award
Our DASH Moorish blend of Frantoio and Nevadillo Blanco oils
from the Moore River Region of Western Australia has received a Bronze medal.
