About DASH

DASH Olives Australia is a family owned Western Australian gourmet food producer. Created by Daniel & Sharon Walton (DASH) in 2005, we put our passion for Olive Oil & Gourmet Foods into our products. Our products are award winning, premium quality, innovative and unique in their flavours.

After establishing our first venture into the olive industry with family at the Brondale Park Olive Grove in the Southern Highlands of NSW in 1998, we moved to WA in 2002 for work and lifestyle reasons. Keen to get back into the olive industry after our move, we looked at several olive groves and feasibilities prior to establishing DASH olives in 2005 as a blending and marketing company.

Our concept - to provide the best oils of the regions each season to our customers with a consistent quality that was independant of seasonal, harvest or local conditions. Our highly awarded oils are proof of our premium products. Each season we scour regional olive groves for the best quality and most flavoursome Extra Virgin Olive Oils for our gourmet blends. We taste around 90 oils a season to achieve our four premium blends.

Since 2005, we have built great friendships and relationships with our growers and retailers, these relationships have inspired the development of complimentary products that highlite the unique characters of our Australian local and native produce. We love working with small growers who share our passion for food and products. 2008 saw the addition of native jams, native fruit vinegars and our local relish range which have received great reviews from our customers.

From our humble beginnings in the spare room of our house, we now have a great team of four staff, provide contract packaging and warehousing services to local industry, export around the world, plus service premium retailers, restaurants and distributors across Australia. We are activey involved in the local olive industry and participate in a number of committees and judging events.

Despite our growth, we are firmly based as a family buisness with both Daniel & Sharon hands on in the business daily. We hand make all our food products and each harvest season is an intense period of tasting and blending oils to acheive our high standards. Our three children (14, 7 & 2) are integral to our business as avid connoisers, providing invaluable feedback on new products and flavours!
